Choosing Enjoyment Over Metrics
Somewhere along the way, we took the phrase
“you can’t manage what you don’t measure”
and turned it into a weapon against ourselves.
We started measuring everything —
👟 our steps
📊 our productivity
😴 our sleep
📱 our screen time
😊 our happiness
Believing that more data would lead to better lives.
Instead, many of us feel more disconnected, more exhausted, and less sure of what we actually enjoy.
This winter, I’m experimenting with something different.
✨ Enjoyment over metrics
✨ Curiosity over control
✨ Presence over proof
Because here’s the truth:
We can unlearn what no longer serves us.
We can reconnect with intuition.
We can teach an old dog new tricks — especially when those tricks involve letting go of comparison, performance, and the constant urge to measure ourselves against someone else’s highlight reel.
Over the next four weeks, we’ll explore what happens when we choose experience instead of numbers:
❄️ Movement without measurement
🤍 Silence over screen time
🤝 Connection without scorekeeping
🌱 Living without proof
If you’re tired of measuring your life instead of living it — welcome.
Stay curious.
This winter might redefine what success means to you…
and it may feel very different than what you were taught. ✨
