For a long time, I followed the script. I did what I was supposed to do. I checked the boxes, played the part, and smiled on cue. But there was a nagging emptiness that I couldn’t explain. A need to escape from myself and a growing feeling that I might just be all wrong about who I was. When I gave myself a moment to be quiet with that, the voice came – something that gently asked, “What if there’s another way?”
That voice? That was curiosity.
And eventually I listened. And yes, Curiosity Made Me Do It…
Curiosity made me ask hard questions.
It made me reevaluate my relationship with alcohol.
It made me question the stories I was raised on.
It made me brave enough to let go of what wasn’t working.
It made me look at fear and ask, “Is that all you’ve got?”
